To what extent did Hitler use Education to support his regime?
Hitler and the Nazis use propaganda and other methods in order to come in to power over Germany. The propaganda that the Nazis use got people on the Nazis side and also turned German people against Jews. Hitler also used Education in order to stay in power over Germany. The Education manipulates the upcoming citizens of Germany in favor of the Nazis.
In order for Hitler’s dream to come true, this would be to have a government that would last for many years. Hitler knew that the children would be the only was for the government to last and keep progressing so that his goal would be met. (2) The main topics for the youth were German, History, and Biology. Hitler decided what he wanted the kids to be taught in the country.(2) It was as if Hitler was brain washing the children to be the prefect Nazis. The way the youth was taught in school they only knew of one side of the history. The German teachers may have been manipulating the youth to believe that Germany was in the right and all the enemies were in the wrong (1). This would give the youth no reasoning not to stand up for their country in the time of need.
Another way education help Hitler was the fact that he could always have professionals in a field that he needed. If Hitler felt the need to have more doctors, he would alter the education of the youth to fit the process of becoming a doctor. Also Hitler trained the youth boys in physical education. He would have the young men doing military activities; this would help better the army Hitler believed.
The use of Education help Hitler’s regime a lot. The education served as propaganda, training, and much more. The education tactics Hitler use was aiming to benefit the government he created in the long run. His regime was tremendously affected in a good way by his education tactics.

Jones, i am glad that you took this question and understood it very well, because not many people chose this particular question. The youth approach to this question was awesome, but like always "MORE ANALYSIS IS NEEDED" (BELK)lol. This seems a bit too much factual. You need to anaylze more than anything...let the analyzing portion of the essay be 3 times the factual portion. And as well as I told Jonah Luc...in order to reach the higher ends of the markband you must find ways in which another historian may oppose you. Another historian may think that Hitler didnt use education to maintain power in Germany, and they may give reasons why. You need to address those things in your essay before another historian oppose you. :) Overall I would give your essay an 11.
ReplyDeleteshawana i dont think we are grading these essays we are discssing the essays!!!lol
ReplyDeleteYes cece you are totally right when you argue that the children are being brained washed being taught things that only fir Hitlers expectations. So are you arguing that if the children learned both sides of history, the outcome would be very different or the same. Meaning if they were taught the truth in the schools would they be against Hitler or would they still be for him. Would this place an impact on the households as well as the future?
ReplyDeletesorry, wasn't finished. And if it placed an impact on the household would it have been harder for Hilter to maintain his regime??
ReplyDeleteI agree with much of what you stated in your essay. Towards the end you mentioned, "Also Hitler trained the youth boys in physical education. He would have the young men doing military activities." However you failed to mean how Hitler managed the education of the youth girls. Make you cover both sides. How education effected both boys and girls. The men and women of Germany would be Hitler's major advantages.
ReplyDeleteCece,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Hitler used education in order to gain and maintain his power in Germany. By teaching just one side of History to the children Hitler was able to maintain the power by brainwashing the youth that were being taught. And as Akevian said, the girls were also taught in Nazi schools, however not as strenously as the boys because the boys were the future of the army and the Nazi political party.
I agree with what you were saying about the German children learning about just one side of history but wouldn't you say that the same thing still happens today? Just like winners write history and the losers' side is never represented why shouldn't a country be able to rewrite and manipulate their own history? There was already some anti-semitism exsisting in Germany, the Nazi's only played off that to gain votes and made it more acceptable.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with what Mandy said. It's called HIS-tory. Meaning whoever is "rewriting" history probably has a bias opinion on the matter or event and is most likely, even if unconciousily, putting their own opinion into their work. Hitler did the same thing, he "rewrote" the history of Germany to make it fit into his fantasy world. I agree that by teaching the children his version of Germany's history he was setting up future German citizens to be comppletely for the new Germany and support it with no opposition. This was a very smart method used by Hitler and the Nazis, however, did Hitler think about the parent's of the children and how they would tell their children the true history of Germany? I mean it's not like a child is going to denounce his own mom or dad?
